Seeing Spots

I know, that I've been gone for a LOOOOOOOONG time, but I'm back and ready to get this blog going again!  So, one of my favorite collections for Fall 2011 was Stella McCartney, it was full of sexy knee length dresses filled with mess and polka dots.  The Polka dot can be seen just about everywhere from the Fall runways, Fashion editorials, to the streets.  This is going to be a huge trend for the upcoming season probably replacing Springs striped trend.

She's baaaaaaaack!!!!

Ever since Rihanna dyed her hair fire engine red, things just haven't seemed to flow well with her.  I don't know if I was just distracted by the color or maybe it was because that red just clashed with her ensembles; but whatever it was it just wasn't working for me.(which is soooooo hard for me to admit because Rihanna is my style crush and usually can do no wrong in my eyes.)  But I am so elated to say that she has got her groove back!!!  I'm loving these two looks that she wore this past week, and can't wait to try it out myself!!!

Sasha Fierce is Back!!!

Check out Beyonce's Fall 2010 ad campaign for The House of Dereon.  Me personally, I'm not a fan at all of  this line, but this ad is HOOOOOTTTTT!!! Kinda make me want some Dereon! Ha! Not really!!! But if you notice, the clothes really aren't the focus of this photo shoot, it's all on Mrs. Carter.

Halle Berry, Halle Berry!!!

Congrats to Ms. Halle Berry for gracing the cover of Vogue's most anticipated issue to the year, the September issue.  This is a GREAT feat because this is the first time that an African American woman has been on the cover of this issue since Naomi Campbell in 1989.  Only a small group of black women have ever been on the cover of this magazine at all, the list includes, First Lady Michelle Obama, Oprah Winfrey, Jennifer Hudson, Beverly Johnson, and of course Naomi Campbell.  I think Halle Berry is a perfect fit so congratulations to her!!!  Oh and I'm lovin' her Anna Wintour-esque bob!!!

Pin Up Girls & Betty Drapers....

This fall a lot of designers took their collections back to the 50's, the era that was filled with pin-up girls, Betty Draper's, full skirts, hot shorts, and the hour glass silhouette.  The 50's was one of my all time favorite decades because everything was so feminine and ultra sexy.  This trend might be a tad bit hard to pull of, but I can't wait to give it a try(I love a fashion challenge).
